20 People You MUST Follow on Twitter!
Quick, when you think of the best resources for building websites – what do you think of? Blogs? E-books? Technology magazines? Those are all great resources, but if you didn’t list Twitter, you’re missing out! There are a ton of industry experts on Twitter, offering up 140 characters at a time of free knowledge, often with a link to a helpful article or blog post.
But how do you figure out whom to follow for information about your website? Well, you can start by reading this blog post. Here’s a short list of people who have gained large Twitter followings for their great information on Internet marketing, writing, e-business, and design.
If you need help with copywriting, social media, PR follow:
- @problogger : Blogger and author, Darren Rowse, shares invaluable information on boosting your website’s income, social media, SEO, and of course, blogging.
- @MikeElgan : Mike is a prolific tech writer, so check out his feed for industry news, how-to articles, and tons of information about Google+.
- @copyblogger : Do you need help overcoming writer’s block? How about tips for making money from your online content? If so, then Brian Clark is your guy.
- @remarkablogger : Michael Martine is a blog consultant and coach. Yes, there is such a job title. Follow him on Twitter for great tips on how to sell digital content – such as e-books and landing pages – on your blog.
- @digitalalex : Check out Alex Cohen’s Twitter feed for digital marketing and PR tips.
- @mediaphyter : Jennifer Leggio, a writer for Forbes magazine, blogs and tweets about social media for businesses. Information that you definitely need if you have an e-business.
- @NewspaperGrl : Follow Janet Thaeler for tips on Internet PR, blogging, and SEO.

- @randfish : Rand Fishkin is the CEO of SEOmoz. He tweets about, you guessed it, SEO. He also offers useful tips on Internet startups and social media. One of my favorite definitely!
- @webmetricsguru : Like his Twitter name implies, Marshall Sponder is a go-to guru for help on website analytics, SEO, and social media analytics.
- @jdersh : If you have a growing e-business and need help with web analytics, June Dershewitz’s Twitter feed has lots of tips and links to reference articles.

- @randallb : Does your website have a lot of multimedia, especially videos? Randall Bennett is a web video specialist, so check out his Twitterfeed for tricks of the trade.
- @marcofolio : Marco Kuiper tweets about web design and web development, with helpful links to tutorials.

- @DesignerDepot : The Designer Depot Twitter feed consists mostly of links to articles and blog posts and doesn’t add much of a personal touch, but the linked information will help you out if you’re building your own website.

- @Scobleizer : Robert Scoble is a technology blogger who works at Rackspace, one of the largest web hosting companies. If you want up-to-date information on Internet news, social media, or new technology, then Scoble is the perfect person for you to follow.
- @ericschmidt : This Google chairman offers updates on company technology, but gives other Internet and website tips as well.
- @mashable : Pete Cashmore tweets for Mashable , and clues us in on social media, technology, and business news.
- @kevinrose : The founder of Digg and CEO of Milk Inc. is an Internet entrepreneur who offers his wisdom for free on Twitter!

I follow many of these guys but I know that Robert Scoble is much more active on Google + these days. Most of his tweets are linking back to his Google + posts. He’s my favorite from you list and also the only one I really interact with. Most of the others are good too especially when you’re just getting started with Twitter.
You should check out @copyblogger and @randfish as well. Especially Rand’s insight on SEO. Very interesting!
